WALK!!?!
That is a big one. I can just say walk and she is up and ready to go.
EAT!
Of course Lola would know the word eat. She is always ready and will not pass up food.
CAR! Want to go for a ride?
When she hears this, she knows she gets to go somewhere. And where ever it is, she is happy to go
PARK!
When I say park, Lola knows exactly where to turn and go to get to the park. She loves the park.
SQUIRREL!
And of course Lola knows the word squirrel. When she hears that word she is on full alert and ready to hunt.
Lola also knows the names of her buddies. I can so "Otis" or "Nina" and she will get so excited. She has to know it means play time.

Sherman knows "find it" I love it when he is on a mission looking for his toy!
ReplyDeleteRiley knows a lot of words too, but she doesn't know squirrel! My favorite words she knows is the names for all of my family. If you tell her to go see Grandpa, she will or if you tell her to go see Uncle Jimmy, she'll go over and see him. Dogs are so cool!!!

That's so cute! Lola is a smarty-pants. I don't know if we've taught Shiva any words that aren't related to behaviours. So far we've avoided teaching her the dreaded "walk" word. I'd like to keep it that way.
ReplyDeleteShe does always look up whenever we call the cat, however, so maybe that counts.
It's so sweet when dogs recognize the names of their friends. I'm trying to teach Ellie to recognize her best doggy friend, Goldie.
