Busy Weekend

It was a busy weekend for both Lola and I.  I had meetings and other get togethers.  And I took Lola to a new place to get a bath.  (The last place I took her was a major chain store and I was not happy.)  So, I asked a friend where he takes his dog.  And I have to say I was very happy, and I was happy that is was a local small business owner.

When I picked Lola up she came out happy as could be.  And she looked and smelled great.  I brought her home and we went for a nice walk.  And sure enough after 5 minutes of walking...


Rolling the grass.  That's right she was clean for about 30 minutes at the most.  But at least she got nails trimmed, ears cleaned and teeth brushed.

Lola also lucked out and got a new toy.



And since it is a rope it not destroyed . . . .yet.

    At least she stayed cleaned for 30 minutes! Leroy has problem staying clean for 5 minutes:)

    BOL!! Several years ago I took all three dogs to the groomer. They all looked so beautiful when I picked them up. Then, getting out of the car, Princess Allie (now an angel) hopped out, walked across the lawn and ROLLED IN A DEAD ANIMAL!!! She was thrilled that that yucky perfum scent was covered up. I was a little mifffed. When I went back outside to get rid of the animal, a crow was carrying it away. Lovely!

    I bathe Riley at home, but I bet it's worth paying to get it done professionally! Riley ALWAYS runs straight outside and rolls around in the dirt about 30 or 45 minutes after she gets out of the tub. Sigh. I feel ya.

    Hopefully the rope toy will last more than a day...I just bought Riley (ANOTHER) new rope toy on Saturday and so far it's still in one piece.
