Lola's New Toy

This week I stopped by a local pet store by my job this week with a co-worker.  We went in and looked around, and I found a toy I just could not resist getting Lola.  And when I brought it home, Lola could not wait to find out what she got.

What did you get me?

This is great.  I can't get it out so I am just going to take it with the bag.

At that point I helped her get it out of the bag and took the tag off.

This is awesome.

This is even bigger than my head.

This a tuff scale of 10.  The highest it goes.  It is not yet destroyed but we will see how long that lasts.

Lola's Costco Bounty

I made a trip to Costco last weekend.  And even at Costco there are great things for dogs (which is not really surprising since Cosco is awesome).  So of course, I came home with many things for Lola.  Dog food, dog biscuits, and beef jerky pieces.

It took me awhile to get her sitting in front of it, because it smelled so good.

Ok I posed, can I have some treats now!!

Vet Well Visit

It is that time again, time to go to the vet and get checked out.  One thing I love about our vet is the fact that I can drop Lola off and they have the full day to do all their exams.  I feel like she gets better care this way because they are not rushed and have plenty of time to check her out.

When I went to pick her up in the afternoon, the tech brought her out and the vet followed behind.  I was a little worried, because the previous dog parents only had the tech tech bring they dogs out.  The vet came out and Lola was basically sitting in her lap as she talked to me.  The vet told me that "Lola got a lot of extra special attention."  She said she is such a sweet and great dog, so she get a lot of hugs, and Lola made sure to give kisses to everybody that visited with her.  And to make the visit even better, Lola could not be healthier.   I guess now I know why Lola loves the vet.  She probably gets more attention there, than she does at home.

My favorite part of picking Lola up was when the vet asked Lola for a goodbye kiss, and Lola was more than happy to let the vet know how much she loved her.

Never Forgotten -4/20/1999

Today is the 12th anniversary of the shooting at Columbine, where 12 students and one teacher lost their lives.  For many of us, this one of the toughest days of the year, even 12 years later.   It was a day that changed our lives forever.  Please take a moment to give your love ones an extra hug and remind them how much they mean to you and how much you love them.

Chasing Squirrels

I was on a our daily walk with Lola.  And I was not paying attention and all of a sudden I was being pulled down the sidewalk.  I look over and sure enough Lola found a squirrel to chase.

This was a great tree for Lola to chase the squirrel into.  There was no where for this guy to go and Lola wanted to hang out as long as possible to catch it.  She even jumped on the tree trying to knock it out.  I finally had to pull her away so we could continue.

Lola's Spring Break

I went out of town part of last week, so Lola got to go to spring break camp, and spent time with Otis and Bear.  And Lola had a great time.  She got to lay out all day and search for squirrels. And there was a lot of rolling around in the grass.

She had a great big picture window to look out, and the perfect stool to have the perfect view, the coffee table.

Lola was so worn out after 4 days at camp that she came home and ate.  And was sound asleep by 6.

I think it goes without saying that Lola had a great time.

Monday Already!?!

Is it really Monday already?  Why does the weekend always go so fast?
